4 Fall Jewelry Trends We’re Actually Wearing
The sweaters come out. The jackets come back. There are scarves, layers, bags, boots—and jewelry has to hold its own against all of it.
If you ask us what we're predicting for Fall 2026, we say we're wearing more.
More color. More silver. More charms. More earrings. More personality.
The feeling is especially strong, as we're seeing jewelry get bigger, longer, more playful, and a little less precious. Silver is stepping into the spotlight. Necklaces are dropping lower. Ears are getting stacked. And the colorful, sentimental jewelry we collected over the summer doesn't necessarily need to go away just because September arrived.
Here are the four trends we're predicting—and actually wearing this fall.
The Return From Summer Camp

Think colorful jewels in every form: paracords, friendship bracelets, colorful spacer pieces, beaded necklaces, anything that looks like you could have brought it back from Summer Camp with you.
Just because summer is ending doesn't mean all of that jewelry has to go into a drawer. Bring it into fall. The trick is pairing those playful pieces with jewelry that gives them a little more weight. Try a colorful cord necklace underneath a chunky silver chain. Wear your friendship bracelets alongside a fine gold bracelet stack. Pair colorful spacer beads with a substantial watch or cuff. Colorful jewelry is also an easy way to break up fall's heavier textures.
Big Silver

Think bold hoops, chunky chains, sculptural rings, and pieces with enough weight to actually register against a chunky knit or oversized jacket. We're talking big ID bracelets, substantial curb chain necklaces, chunky rhodium high-polish hoops, jewelry that feels almost like hardware.
There should be some weight to it. Some shine. Maybe even a little toughness. Don't replace your everyday jewelry, mix the big silver piece into it. Take the gold necklace you wear every day and add a substantial silver curb chain. Wear a chunky silver bracelet next to your delicate gold bangles. Put a high-polished silver hoop next to your tiny gold studs.
Our note: You don't need an entire silver wardrobe. One substantial piece can completely change the feeling of your everyday stack.
Longer Layers

We are looking to longer layers this fall, and theres a necklace length we have in mind. The necklace that doesn't stop at your collarbone. The one that keeps going. The one that lands somewhere around your chest and looks even better once you're wearing a sweater.
As the layers get heavier, necklaces have to get a little more interesting to stand out. And Fall 2026 is leaning into longer silhouettes, bigger pendants, charm jumbles, and more expressive necklace styling. And you don't necessarily need five layers to make it work.
Try one long necklace over a crewneck sweater, this is where a piece like the 24" lariat shines ; let a pendant sit low against a plain tee. Wear a longer chain underneath a shorter everyday necklace, or build a layered look with different chain weights, textures, and pendant sizes.
The important thing is that the necklaces don't all live at the same height. Maybe your shortest chain is something you never take off. Your middle necklace has a little charm. And your longest necklace is the piece everyone notices.
The Mixed Media Earring Stack

We're taking the earring stack somewhere new this fall. Not just three little gold hoops lined up from smallest to largest. We're looking at a mixed media version of an an earring stack.
Different lengths. Different textures. Maybe a drop. Maybe a sculptural hoop. Maybe something that looks completely unexpected next to everything else.
The idea is to treat your ear almost like a little jewelry composition.
Start with one piece that leads the stack. Then build around it. Mix scale. Mix texture. Mix lengths.
You might have a substantial hoop in your first piercing, a pearl stud above it, and a tiny textured piece higher up. Or a long drop in your first hole with smaller studs trailing behind it.
The point is that everything doesn't need to be the same. That's what gives the ear stack dimension.
And if you only have one or two piercings? You can still get the look.
One substantial earring plus one tiny supporting piece can create the same feeling. It's less about the number of piercings and more about creating contrast. You could also find an ear cuff that fits into the area you need a little more sparkle.
Our note: Pick your lead earring first. Everything else should make it look better.
So, What Are We Actually Wearing This Fall?
A little bit of everything.
A colorful nylon cord next to a gold chain.
A chunky silver bracelet next to the friendship bracelet we refuse to take off.
A long pendant layered over a sweater.
A pearl tucked into an otherwise tough earring stack.
Fall 2026 jewelry is all about mixing materials, scales, colors, textures, and eras until the combination starts to feel like your own.
And that's our favorite kind of trend, asking you to look at the jewelry you already own a little differently.
Because you don't need to buy an entirely new jewelry collection every season to participate. You might just need to move your earrings around. You might already have the perfect silver piece sitting in your jewelry box. You might have a necklace that's been waiting for the right sweater, and so on.
