FAQs

WHAT DOES "PERMANENT JEWELRY" MEAN?
Our metalsmiths will attach a custom fit bracelet, necklace, anklet, or ring around your body with a painless, quick welding process. Because the bracelet is welded on, it does not have a clasp and will "permanently" stay on (until you remove it or it comes off with time).

WHAT KIND OF JEWELRY CAN YOU WELD?
We can weld bracelets, necklaces, anklets, and rings.

WHAT TYPE OF CHAINS DO YOU OFFER?
We offer 4 classic 14kt gold chains in yellow, white and rose gold, and we also carry 1 gold fill chain. Please see our current price list here.  We charge per bracelet, not per inch.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Our price list is attached here. All of our chains, gemstones, initials, and motifs are sold a la carte.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I’M RUNNING LATE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
We do have a 10 minute grace period, but we will do our best to accommodate you when you arrive. There might just be a longer wait.

THERE ARE NO APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE! DO YOU TAKE WALK INS?
We do! Be prepared to possible wait for a bit depending on how busy we are.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY JEWELRY?
14kt chain and gemstones require no cleaning, care or maintenance. Keep out of heavily chlorinated pools as much as possible. Chlorine can deteriorate the structure of the gold.

Take care to keep gold fill chains away from perfume, lotions, aerosols as much as possible. After time the gold bond over the Brass will begin to wear down and avoiding products will prolong the life of your jewelry.

WHAT IF I WANT TO ADD A GEMSTONE OR A CHARM LATER?
You can add a gemstone to any of your jewelry at a later date.

All of our jewelry is customizable and adaptable as your moods and styles change. Our collection is always evolving! Stay tuned to our Instagram for the most up to date information.

BOOK AN APPOINTMENT at the studio.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN I BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?
There is 1 appointment per 20 minutes that can accommodate 2 people. Please book an additional appointment per every 2 people. Please do not over book!

HOW LONG WILL MY BRACELET LAST?
This depends on a variety of things:  lifestyle, job and other external factors. We have all been wearing our permanent pieces for many years at this point and they are still going strong, but this is not a guarantee of the lifespan of your unique piece. If your permanent piece breaks or stretches, we will do our best to repair it. See below for our rewelding and lost jewelry protocols.

WHAT IS THE QUALITY OF YOUR JEWELRY?
All of our chain and charms sources meet our high standards for quality and sustainability. We wear test pieces a minimum of 4 months to test quality before adding to the collection.

WHAT IF MY JEWELRY BREAKS?
Our metalsmiths employ a 4 point inspection process to ensure your jewelry is properly welded before you exit your appointment. In the rare case that your jewelry breaks, please save the chain! It can probably be repaired. Jewelry repairs within the first 48 Hours are free. No appointment needed. After 48 hours we can reweld you at any time for $20 rewelding fee. We cannot replace or offer refunds or discounts on lost chains.

WHAT IF I LOSE MY JEWELRY?
We cannot offer replacements or refunds or discounts to replace lost chains, due to the personal nature of the wearer’s lifestyle, job and other external factors that are out of our control.

WHAT IF MY JEWELRY STRETCHES?
Chains MAY stretch over time depending on the lifestyle of the wearer, but can typically be resized for a $20 reweld fee. If a chain has been assessed by our welders and has stretched beyond repair, it may need to be replaced at the wearer's expense. If your jewelry stretches, remove it with a pair of clippers or kitchen scissors. Don't lose it! Come into the studio, no appointment needed,  to see if it can be repaired. We cannot replace or offer refunds or discounts on lost chains or gemstones.

WHAT IF I HAVE TO REMOVE MY JEWELRY?
If you are having a medical procedure they will often ask you to remove your jewelry. If so, cut your jewelry off at the jump ring using clippers or even kitchen scissors. After your procedure, come into the studio no appointment needed, to have it welded back on!

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE AIRPORT?
Your new jewelry is delicate enough that it will not set off the metal detectors at the airport. We wear them through all the time!

WHAT IF I NEED TO BE ABLE TO TAKE IT ON AND OFF?
We also offer Whenever Jewelry, still custom fit to your body and preferences but with a clasp for the commitment-phobe.

CAN MY KID GET ONE?
With parental consent and accompaniment, we will weld anyone over the age of 3 years old.  Anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

All young people are responsible for the jewelry once it's on their body, and it should be a choice that considers lifestyle, sports, growth spurts, age and other external factors that could cause premature wear and tear.

Our pieces are durable, but they are not indestructible.

DOES IT HURT?
We use a Micro Tig Welder to close our Forever Jewelry shut around your wrist, ankle or neck. The heat from the welder fuses only what it touches shut. It doesn't come anywhere near your skin and you won't feel a thing!

GOLD-FILL CARE: Gold-fill is solid gold bonded over a base metal. It is durable and made for everyday wear. Avoid prolonged direct contact with lotion, perfume, SPF, and chlorine. Avoid entirely cleaners and jewelry dips. After ocean or pool: rinse and dry. Clean with warm water, mild soap, and a soft toothbrush...rinse and pat dry. Do not use abrasive polishing cloths made for sterling silver. For remove-able jewelry, wipe with a soft dry cloth after wear and store separately to prevent scratches.

STERLING SILVER CARE: Sterling silver naturally oxidizes over time and may darken with wear, air, and moisture. When able, remove before showering, swimming, and working out. Do your best to avoid prolonged direct contact with chlorine, cleaners, and jewelry dips. Clean with warm water, mild soap, and a soft toothbrush...rinse and pat dry. For tarnish: use a silver polishing cloth gently. For remove-able jewelry, wipe with a soft dry cloth after wear and store separately to prevent scratches and tarnish.
