Meet The Makers: Le Puzz

We’re inspired by artists who pour their passion, creativity, and unique vision into items we can cherish. And these makers do exactly that. Alistair Matthews and Michael Hunter are the creators of Le Puzz, now available at Brave Daughters!

The company was born out of a love for nostalgic imagery, quirky designs, and the simple pleasures of doing a jigsaw puzzle. Their mission is to make puzzles that are engaging and personality-filled. Think bold colors, retro themes, and interesting images. Much of the makers’ inspiration comes from vintage 60s, 70s, and 80s puzzles, as well as vintage game boards and old cereal box graphics. The box design is so detailed with lots to give in itself; along with the illustrated elements, there are even more activities included on the back.

 Le Puzz jigsaw puzzles are meant to catch your eye, to stand out from the rest of the puzzle boxes. When you open the box, Le Puzz puzzles have a unique puzzle cut,  “random-cut,” different from most traditional puzzles, and allows for uniquely shaped and thicker pieces!  From their love to your own, there isn't anything like that feeling of finishing a puzzle and running your hand over it, then trying to pick it up off the table in one piece!  While putting together a Le Puzz jigsaw puzzle, the makers hope for us to “get lost, zone out, look for edge pieces, meditate, laugh, focus, and hopefully find our inner piece.”
